Sunray Pattern

In watchmaking a sunray pattern is a form of decoration typically featured on parts of the watch’s movement. It is an almost imperceptible pattern that radiates out from a single point and is suggestive of sun rays. It is created using a metal brush and is also referred to as sunray brushing. It is applied to a watch after the polishing stage to give a subtle effect.
