Solar Time

Solar time is determined by the Sun’s position in the sky. The solar day is the unit used for measuring solar time.

The length of a solar day is different depending on season, for instance they are shorter in March compared to July.

There are two types of solar time: apparent solar time (sundial time) and mean solar time (clock time)
