Movement

A watch movement is the combination of various components and mechanisms, including the wheels, the motor spring, the time-setting mechanism and the winding mechanism.

In general terms the movement is made up of the movement-blank, regulating parts and many other components such as springs, pinions, pivots, screws, a shockproof system and gems.

Once fitted with an exterior the watch is said to be complete.
