Karussel

Used to help limit the effects of gravity when the movement of the watch is positioned vertically, the karussel is a device similar in purpose to the tourbillon.

Although it usually rotates more slowly than a tourbillon. It was invented by Danish watchmaker Bonniksen.

The karussel components are situated on a platform which is employed as a base that rotates between the platform bridge and the plate. Connected to the seconds pinion this platform is driven by the intermediate wheel.
