Circular Stripes

Circular stripes or “cotes circulaires” are just one of many methods for decorating watches. In this case rotors and bridges are engraved with a succession of concentric circles either by using a machine or in the case of top quality watches by hand. The process is similar to Cotes de Geneve which is a series of parallel lines at regular intervals. Circular stripes are sometime known as fausses cotes.
