Casing

Casing is the term used to refer to the process of fitting the assembled movement into the watch case. It is a delicate and skilled operation requiring much experience.

The other components fitted at this time are the crown wheel, the dial and hands. The whole assembly is attached to the crown middle and quality control checks are carried out to ensure that the watch is free of contaminants.
